Scoping Parramatta’s Personas
Materials in process ... Hello world - PlayParramatta
Workshops 1 - 3: Playful responses for serious problems
It was great to have such a productive day of workshops and presentations on the 05th February 2018. We ended up with some fantastic insights and journeys thanks to all those who came along. To view the full programme click here . To follow is a sample of images from activities from Workshops 1-3 ... Workshop 1 - Parramatta Personas & Storyboarding excercises. Here we spent time getting to know a selection of Parramatta-specific personas (from approximately 25) and creating short stories or scenarios to depict some of the challenges or frustrating encounters the personas face around Parra's CBD. Hi, Genevieve here, Great to participate in #PlayParramatta workshop yesterday - I am filled with inspiration about how to bring the playful depths of Deaf Culture out into community - activating spaces, building cultural bridges, and helping create public spaces which 'help us smile among the everyday'.
ReplyDeleteI am imagining a Deaf Lane at Parramatta Laneway Festival!
I am imagining cafes where baristas sign - such as St Drogo's.
I am imagining the many Auslan students from throughout Sydney spilling into Parramatta public spaces.
I am imagining Parramatta actually knowing about the fabulous Deaf Festival which happens every October, and all of community appreciating how it activates space.
The following resonates:
"Play, for when you do blood circulates and energy is released into the space, touching and connecting you with everything in that space" - Viola Spolin
"Play with others - fellow players, colleagfues, family and friends, and whenever you go forth, bring the focus of play along with you!" - Viola Spolin
Thanks, Genevieve. It was great to have you along and to find out all that great information about Deaf Culture in Parramatta. We'll certainly be keeping that in mind as we progress with the research.
